Since 1972, MK Engineers has been providing quality electrical engineering services which include design, construction administration and management, project management, master planning, programming, and studies. Our primary focus is in electrical and telecommunication engineering, but we also have extensive experience with fire alarm, public address, intrusion detection, access control, nurse call, CCTV, control, and SCADA systems.
Electrical Design
MK Engineers handles a variety of electrical design projects, from medium voltage to low voltage, transmission to utilization, and exterior to interior. Projects range from transportation, waterfront, educational, industrial, recreational, commercial, retail, residential, hospitality, healthcare, military, aviation, and food services.
Lighting Design
MK Engineers handles a wide range of lighting projects, including both interior and exterior applications, featuring area lighting, roadway lighting, gymnasiums, sports stadiums and complexes, offices, health care, retail, dining, industrial, and commercial. We have extensive experience with energy efficient solutions, including daylight harvesting, dimming, occupancy sensors, multi-level lighting, LED, and indirect lighting. MK Engineers also utilizes computer modeling to ensure lighting performance, as well as to provide renderings to clients.
Telecommunications Design
The firm’s two RCDDs have extensive experience in the design of telecom and data infrastructure for both the military and commercial clients. Designs have included outside plant cabling, ductline and manhole infrastructure, interior horizontal cabling, and telecommunications rooms.
Fire Alarm System Design
MK Engineers has been involved with new fire alarm system designs, replacement designs, as well as renovation fire alarm designs for commercial and educational applications.
ARC Flash Analysis
MK Engineers is adept at providing arc flash analysis and studies for secondary distribution systems. We regularly conduct arc flash analysis on all new large projects to ensure that the design provides a safe system. Models of both primary and secondary distribution systems are produced using either Easy Power or SKM.
